Show Hall: Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd., Austin, TX 78704. This is a beautiful, large venue overlooking Lady Bird Lake in Central Austin. Directions to the show hall will be provided with your entry confirmation.

Show Hotel: Wyndham Garden Hotel, 3401 S. Interstate 35, Austin, TX 78741. The rate will be $89.00. A non-refundable pet deposit of $25.00 per room will be required. When calling for reservations (1-800-996-3426), the group code is AUSTIN CAT FANCIERS. If you prefer to book on-line, the group code is 08146702AU. Cut-off date for the room block is Friday July 25th. The hotel has a free shuttle to and from the Austin/Bergstrom International Airport. AND, the SC Regional Awards and Banquet will be held here on Saturday evening!

Austin Cat Fanciers has elected to use the Hotel Room Inspection Procedures for exhibitors who lodge at Wyndham Garden Hotel using the club’s group booking. Entry in this show using the club’s booking shall constitute an acknowledgment by and consent of the exhibitor to these procedures. (See TICA standing Rules 903.7)

Royal Canin: We are pleased to have been chosen as a Royal Canin Partnership Show. There will be a special hospitality reception and a Royal Canin Educational Seminar Friday evening at the Show Hotel. We will also do early check-in during the reception.

Transportation: If you are flying into Austin, the show hotel has a free shuttle that runs between the hotel and the airport. When you arrive, call the Wyndham Garden Hotel at 512-448-2444 and the shuttle will be dispatched. Or, you can take advantage of the airport Super Shuttle which operates 24 hours a day – 1-800-258-3826. The reservation desk for the Super Shuttle is on the baggage level of the airport. Exhibitors will need to arrange transportation to and from the showhall.

Registration: Pedigreed cats and household pets may be shown in TICA with a pending registration number. Points may be claimed after the registration number is assigned, but only for the first show where the cat didn’t have a registration number in the catalog. Subsequent shows without a registration number will not be scored. All Korats (kittens, cats, alters), Provisional New Breed, Advanced New Breed and New Traits entries must be TICA registered to be shown.

Show Rules: Show rules of TICA will be in effect. You may obtain a copy of the show rules fromTICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551.

Awards: Rosettes will be awarded in accordance with TICA Show Rules. In conjunction with ROYAL CANIN, the TOP THREE BEST OF THE BEST IN EACH CLASS WILL RECEIVE AWARDS ON SUNDAY.

Benching: Single cage – 22 x 22 x 25/Double cage – 22 x 22 x 54. cages must be covered on three sides and the top. NOTE: Exhibitors providing their own cage(s) that require two benching spaces per cage must pay for any extra half cages needed to meet this requirement.

Services: Cat litter will be provided. Please bring your own litter pans. People food will be available from the concession in the show hall. NO OUTSIDE FOOD MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE SHOW HALL.

Non-Vetted Show: TICA rules for non-vetted shows will be followed. Have all cats’ claws (front and back) clipped. All cats must have updated immunizations. The State of Texas requires a rabies vaccination.

For Sale Cages: For Sale Cages (double cage) will be available to exhibitors only on a limited basis. There is no charge for “For Sale “ entries, but you must provide the appropriate caging. 2 cats or 4 kittens allowed per double cage.

Clerks/Stewards: Please indicate on the Summary Form if you will be available to clerk. Ring clerks will be paid $35 per day, provided lunch and a marked catalog. Ring clerks will be assigned when entries have closed. Requests to clerk are not guarantees of assignment. DO NOT DEDUCT CLERKING FEES FROM ENTRY FEES. Compensation will be made at the end of the show. Stewards will be compensated $15 per day and provided lunch.

Show Photographer: Helmi Flick will be our show and banquet photographer. She will provide her Express CD service at the show. Leave the show with your photo shoot on CD.

Ring Sponsorships: Ring Sponsorships are available for $100.00 per ring. Each ring sponsor will receive recognition in the ring and a free full page advertisement in the Show Catalog. Ad copy should be sent to the entry clerk no later than August 13, 2008.

Payment: We accept checks, money orders and PayPal. Please use email address austincf@austin.rr.com for PayPal. Checks and money orders should be mailed to the entry clerk. All payments are due prior to Check-In unless previous arrangements have been made with the Show Manager. There will be a $25.00 charge for entries paid at Check-In. NSF checks and fees owed due to failure to bench will be reported to TICA in accordance with Show Rule 24.4.
